Junior firefighters from the Center Moriches Fire Department went to Brookhaven National Lab to visit with lab firefighters.

CM Jr's were treated to a tour of the firehouse where they were shown the various fire apparatus and equipment used by BNL firefighters every day.

BNL firefighters also conducted a demonstration for our juniors simulating a Haz-Mat condition. CM Jr's learned techniques used for donning and doffing level "A" hazmat suits. They also learned how to DECON a suit after it has been in the hot zone or the contaminated area.

CMFD would like to extend our thanks to Brookhaven National Lab and their Firefighters John Foley and Jeff Davis for taking time out of there busy day to spend time with our Juniors.
