Auto Accident Injures One

Just after 5:30pm on Sunday Center Moriches Fire Department was requested to the scene of an auto accident with injuries on Jerusalem Hollow Road between Moriches Middle Island Rd and the South Service Road of Sunrise Highway.

Emergency personnel arrived to find a multi car accident with one vehicle into a tree.

While firefighters secured the vehicle, EMT's and Paramedics worked to stabilize the driver and remove him from the vehicle. Due to the nature of the injuries the driver was medivac to Stony Brook University Hospital via SCPD helicopter.

Firefighters were back in service within 45 minutes
