On Saturday Evening January 30th, the Center Moriches Fire Department held their annual installation dinner and awards ceremony at Majestic Gardens in Rocky Point. The dinner was attended by Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary members as well as local dignitaries and invited guests.

The purpose of the evening is to officially swear in the elected Chief and Assistant Fire Chiefs and Comapny Officers, as well as honor our Volunteers for their service and dedication to the Center Moriches Fire Department and the community they serve.

Chief William Renzetti was sworn into office by Commissioner William Schilling for his second term as the 45th Chief of the Center Moriches Fire Department along with First Assistant Chief JR Saetran, Second Assistant Chief Ronald Primus.

Chief Renzetti then had the privilege of swearing in the Department and Company Officers for the 2010 year.

This year the Center Moriches FD was honored to recognize two members who have reached a significant milestones in their firefighting career. These men were honored for their continued dedication and active service to the community.

Ex-Chief John Zlatniski was honored for his 30th year of active service, along with Ex-Chief Kenneth Johnson who celebrated his 60th year of active service with the Center Moriches Fire Department. Each of them were presented with a plaque by the Chiefs and received a proclamation on behalf of Suffolk County presented by Legislator Edward Romaine.

In addition to the longevity awards special awards were presented to several members for their extraordinary service to the Department over the past year. The Center Moriches Fire Department is pleased to honor the following members:
