At approximately 10:17 a.m. today, Center Moriches Firefighters were called to assist the Mastic Fire Department in responding to a structure fire on Mastic Boulevard. Upon arrival, Mastic firefighters were met with heavy fire conditions concentrated to the rear of the building and immediately activated their mutual aid plan.

Firefighters from Center Moriches, along with surrounding departments, quickly responded to the scene.

Once there, Center Moriches firefighters assisted Mastic Firefighters in conducting a thorough search of the building for occupants and checking for any fire extension.

Center Moriches firefighters were back in service within two hours.
