A Message from the Chief ...
On behalf of the dedicated men and women of the Center Moriches Fire Department, I welcome you to our website. This is your official resource for information on the Center Moriches Fire Department.
The Center Moriches Fire Department was founded in 1888 and I am proud of our over 137 year tradition of providing fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention and public education to the residents, property owners and visitors in our community.
Our organization is made up of approximately 100 members who volunteer their time for the community. We have an incredibly diverse and talented membership with many skills and areas of expertise. I am very appreciative of their dedication and service to our community. Many personnel are cross trained in both fire fighting and emergency medical services to provide optimum service to our community.
The department consists of 3 fire companies, an EMS Squad, a Fire Police Squad , and a Water Rescue Team. We also have a Ladies Auxiliary, and a Junior explorer program.
Our community is growing rapidly and the Center Moriches Fire Department is working hard to meet the various challenges that we are facing. We will continue to strive to provide excellent services and meet all of the emergency response needs of our residents.
