Since 1991, the second week of April has been officially recognized by Congress as National Telecommunications Week, a time to acknowledge the vital role dispatchers play in emergency response.

This week, we pay tribute to the Dispatchers of the Center Moriches Fire Department Communications Center – they are the most important people you never see.
